I wouldn't get too upset about what any critic says. They are part of the machine that wants to shove your tastes down your throat.

We put up with that crap every week from the Brit and others that critized Clay...and we never wavered.

I will not waver now. I've loved Clay since the Atlanta auditions and that was before he even opened his mouth to sing! A diamond in the rough; I could see it then.

My only wish is that Clay stay strong and know the broads will always have his back and he will always have our hearts.

Hang On Clay, Honey ...We're going PLATINUM!

This is the message I sent to all my friends and relatives today.

"Don't forget to buy Clay Aiken's new CD. You won't be sorry and some of it will go to a good cause (The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (www.bubelaikenfoundation.org). If you don't know who Clay Aiken is FIND OUT (www.clayaiken.com) but buy anyway. Trust me you'll like it or give it to your mother, sister, daughter, son, best friend....whatever if you don't.

And then, just on my say so, Clay It Forward (tell all your friend) (www.claysbridge.org).

We (fans) want him to sell Platinum (1,000,000) his first week.

You won't be sorry

That is all.

I also posted this back a few pages, but had no takers so I will post again. Those of you who can't afford to buy the CD but would love to have a copy...I bought a couple of extras just to give away. Please email me and if is yours free, gratis, por nada.. then Clay It Forward when you can.

Great letter on Fans Of Reality Tv...if she is not a broad, she should be!!

Dear Time Don't think we all (Middle America) bought Clay Aiken's single at the checkout line, and are "Moms making $26,000 to $36,000 a year." Many are highly paid lawyers and business execs making a tad more than $36,000 a year. And, no, I had to find Target's record department, by the way. But yes, I am one of the proud people who braved a discount store to buy Clay's single. This was not an impulse buy. I called first to be sure that they had a copy, since many places sold out the first day the CD was available. And yes, I do know about Kazaa, Napster, and Limewire. I chose to buy Clay's album, to support him. I am buying two copies of his album "Measure of a Man" on October 14th. One I already pre-ordered from Amazon.com, the other, a gift, will be purchased, at midnight, at a CD release party being held in the local Borders and Books Store. Clay Aiken is becoming something larger than the sum of his parts. He has gone beyond American Idol. He is becoming a phenomenon, something that comes along only a few times in a generation. To say who he is a product of an audience made of people that "have no taste" is an insult to the millions of consumers who have supported the recording industry and eschewed Napster or Kazaa to plunk down real cash and buy their increasingly mundane and droll products. Perhaps RCA should consider that some of its vaunted A&R folk "have no taste." Clive Davis is no fool. He knows a star when he sees one, be it Joplin, The Bee Gees, Patti Smith or whoever, and he saw that star quality in Clay Aiken. He knows this man touches a sensitive chord in people and that his music speaks to them on a level most hip-hop and rap artists can't begin to understand. It's known as the human soul. Many years back, RCA marketed an Elvis LP titled "50 Million Elvis Fans can't be wrong" (and you get upset over a title like "Measure of a Man"?), because it knew that the TV audience (the very same one you say has "no taste") knew what it wanted, liked what it saw and bought millions of his albums. Ed Sullivan knew his market and catered to it very well. So, yes. Clive Davis is absolutely right: "let Clay be Clay." Deborah Foss Bristol, CT __________________ While they were busy trying to find a pop star they knew how to market, they uncovered a true American Idol. This is a wonderful thread by two folks who were fortunate enough to be at GMA and not only heard Invisible and The Way, but also The First Noel which Clay recorded for the GMA Christmas show.

I thought Clay was amazing on GMA this morning. Especially "The Way". He sounded so much better live than on the CD. The CD does NOT capture his depth, his personality, his voice. He connects through his talent and his visage!

But don't we just love watching him more than anything???

Looking forward to this week [Clayfest] but will going through major Clay withdrawals next week!!

Long post alert. I’ve been knocking at the door all day but the PP’s didn’t open for me until just now.

Has anyone listened to JoJo’s interview from Monday night? You can download it from the Ideal Idol site. It is a good tonic for anyone feeling queasy over colicky reviews. And unless I missed mentions of it (possible...I've been spacey with a plethora of input this week), it seems to have been overlooked midst the Release Party and TTS euphoria.

JoJo is great with Clay, positive, upbeat and supportive. And we get what has been missing from the repetitive, scripted (oh, I’m not saying anyone scripted for him, but since Clay keeps getting the same boring q’s over and over, he keeps giving the same rote answers over and over) morning and evening (exluding TTS of course) TV interviews. With JoJo we get the freefalling motor-mouthed Clay we know and love. He talks about going out to buy a couch and just buying one without looking at the price tag because, well, just because he liked it! And it made him feel irresponsible to do that, and that his Mom will probably tell him he was being irresponsible. And he says he got a dog but hasn’t named it yet cause he needs to spend some time getting to know the doggy before naming it (I love that….I have to do the same thing). And there’s more of realtime Clay interacting with fans…..in contrast to the poached and canned TRL-type appearance being served up this week to stoke the media blitz.

GMA – Most everything has been mentioned, so I will only add that yes, Melissa and Raleighgirl, there is a new move in the Invisible repetoire…..the TUGLET! And we are loving it. Also, did anyone else notice the ChubbyChecker Twisty Feet? Those new shoes (I Love them….same ones from the Leno show) are still shiny and slippy on the bottoms and he is working them like a little kid would on that waxed up wood floor. And I chuckled at the bitty broads in rhinestone tiaras with signs saying “Take Me to the AMA Awards”. And I know this has already been mentioned, but, it certainly bears revisiting….. he looked stunningly hunky tucked in didn’t he?

SO WHEN DO WE START CALLING IN TO REQUEST AIRPLAY FOR THE WAY???

MnMs Mom Stop posting positive reviews? NOOOOOO! They are balm on the burns. Thanks you for them.

Most of the non-totally positive reviews are NOT totally negative reviews. The only really scurvy review I read was in the NY Daily News. (Enough said. It does not warrant posting). Even when they are blah, the reviewers still, albeit perhaps grudgingly, say that The Voice is superb and that the Clay charm is evident and, might I add, undeniable. Critics will have their day, but We will have our Way (with Clay) when all is said and done and sold in the millions!

Having said that, I agree with the many who have posted that The Voice is not showcased in full glory and potential in many of the songs on the CD. I love the CD, but the magnificence of the voice has been muted and over produced (produced over??) in several of the cuts. Hold strong and steadfast peeps and we will see a more powerful Clay presence on round two. Doing what he knows he does best. (How incredible would it be to have Clay and maybe just a piano?) I’m getting on line now, music money clenched in my trembling fist.

Way to go Erin and Robin the Dynamic Duo of Famous Broads and their sidekick RSTTB Joe!

Nelle No,no. Must not wash or dry clean The Jacket. Must preserve it as is, complete with Clayton’s pheromones that were instilled when he rested the side-edge of his eloquent hand on it to write. No, no. Wrap it and put it away, only to be brought out for Broadly celebrations and fests. It is, as you say, the Holy Grail for Broadom. No Cheer with Brighteners or perc for the Holy Grail. (Please). So….when do we start shopping real estate for establishing the ClayBliss Mansion? Seriously, this might be a great idea for a resort. Rooms plastered in posters, Clay tunes and videos available 24 hours, you get the idea. Wendy in the kitchen. Oh, it’s starting to sound like the Ranch. Hmmmm. If we build it, they will come. Anyone ready to invest?

Carol in Fl NMSS does certainly seem customized for Clay’s relationship with SD. I wonder if our Gingersnap was even consciously aware of that in making the choice.

Jannet What an absolutely Broadly thing to do, buy instead of burn. Kudos gurrrl.

J4 do we celebrate a hump day? HAHAHAHAHA! Melissa OMG with emphasis on the “O”!!! If I didn’t know Studbiscuit was singing I would swear he was in the throes of…….. OMG! Thank you. This picture is worthy transferring onto a pillowcase.

Loved Clay on GMA. He was more tame because of all the kids I am sure - still looked great. But on the solo tour I want to go to the late show - the one he does for the broads....

Surely I wasn't the only one seeing the irony in having Clay appear on the same day GMA airs a piece on SD Children. What's up with calling today's show "The Incredible Hunks"? Why plural? I saw only one Incredible Hunk. Did anyone else screech at this... DS:"Everybody knows it's coming---CA:'It's coming!'---whether you like it not." while she raises her arm to that position?

Jannet, researchers confirmed long ago that men prefer to do it in the morning. Hmmm, suddenly gives "Morning Mood" by Edvard Grieg a whole new take...

My mind goes in the gutter every time I hear the "ohwoahoh"---oh, I see I'm not alone in here! Startin' to get a little crowded.

pejay, I'm glad you mentioned the ego. I saw hints of that early on and I don't mean that as a diss. I felt much better knowing it was there.

Donna in Philly, restraint in lyrics is sexy in the way that a peekaboo coppery thread is sexy, but visible implant edges are not. It's sexy in the way it allows the performer the opportunity to interpret for himself and to paint a picture with his emotions, while crudeness leaves no room for the imagination of the singer or listener.

Music can soothe the savage beast, and a Broad in a Clay kind of striped shirt with boots and Old Navy jeans can charm a fussy toddler into beaming placidness. (The kid saw something with SpongeBob on it at the register and thought he had to have it.)

I STILL CAN'T SEE ROCK STAR JOE!

Susan/Sue in SC--For me, sudden loss is far more difficult to deal with than the expected one. Knowing what's coming still hurts, but can be a real blessing as it gives your mind time to accept the inevitable. It allows us to remain somewhat functional as we ease into the grieving process gradually. By all means, seek solace in the music and wonder of Clayton Holmes Aiken... and his Lecherous Broads.

Trying ever so hard NOT to read reviews...and besides what the f***do they know anyway? I mean...Elvis was criticized...Beatles were poked fun of...Who are the critics anyway? Some of my favorite movies were panned by "critics"! And don't they know that by publishing any scathing remarks against our Huckleberry Hunk will only cause us to rise up against them even more? I am at the ready, though, Broads...got my cannon aimed right at those "beastards"!

Trying to gain some semblance of control over "real life" is increasingly difficult! While rewatching my GMA tape and trying to hide my heart leaping out of my chest during "The Way", my 12 yr. old son had the nerve to say to me..."gee, mom, I think you're starting to pay more attention to Clay than you are to me" Yeah, whatever....now go open up your OWN can of soup!

I am starting to feel a lil jealous over that back up singer gurly....

Someone needs to find Clay a gold lame' suit for his next cd cover shot.....100,000 Clay Fans Can't Be Wrong!!! Broads remember that? My mom took me to see Elvis when I turned 16!
