CA Elizabeth Thanks for the support re: the Miami Herald (I need to check their website today), but I am soooo over her. Last night at our cd party, the Palm Beach Post was there! The reporter stayed for the entire evening, witnessing approximately 50-60 women (and a couple of guys) majorly thudding all over the place. He specifically asked to speak to a Lecherous Broad, so up I jumped (you knew I would - fame whore thy name is Carol). I won't go into details here, because he interviewed a LOT of people (and maybe there's a BEVR in here somewhere) that night (seemed like everyone wanted to get their $.02 in, and he was very accommodating about that. He likes Clay anyway and was just trying to fathom where the intensity comes from. He said the article would be in Wed. Post (so check palmbeachpost.com) and he said that I would, fersure, be mentioned! Go Broads!!! So ...ahem... screw the Miami Herald!

Hey Guys - Just dropping in for a minute. I posted last week about my father being in the hospital, but getting better. Things have changed drastically - doctors told us yesterday, to put it bluntly - no hope. So we're waiting on the Lord to either give us a miracle, or take my daddy home with Him. Spent the night at hospital, but just had to go get Clay's cd this morning. Haven't told anyone, they'd be like "where's your priorities?", but you guys know - he makes me feel better. His "thank you" to his dad really tore me up. And MOAM takes on new meaing. Daddy raised 5 kids (3 adopted, including me), and just as Clay's "DAD is Ray Parker!!" my DAD is Jack, who gave 3 kids an opportunity for love they wouldn't have had otherwise.
Don't mean to bring anybody down. I just knew ya'll would understand my need to express my feelings. Don't worry, I'll be back to my old lecherous self soon. Matter of fact, when I opened my CD and took a look at that mini-poster - well, let's just say I know I'm still alive! (Holy Crap, he's hot!!)
I had to miss Leno last night, and didn't get it recorded. Hope to see a BEVR posted from broads in attendence so I can live vicariously. Miss you guys!
CLAYTON HONEY - Regarding your thanks to your fans on your album - so glad to see that you understand what we're about, we DO so care about who you are. And we're so DING-DANG PROUD of you! Have a wonderful time sweetie - and stay strong! You don't have to be perfect - just be you, that's good enough.

am still basking in the nuances of each tune on MOAM. Absorbing it slowly and consistently. I absolutely adore The Way (Oh! those vocal riffs towards the end!), Perfect Day and MOAM.

It was wonderful to meet CA Elizabeth, and Lurker from Atherton (you know who you are), at our party, and to see Susanne again. I'm sorry if I missed an opportunity to meet MnMsMom. I feel like I'm forgetting another Broad, and my brain cells are just not helping me out here. Please feel free to refresh them for me, and accept my apologies if I missed you.
Here I am, back again! Ifm not supposed to, Ifve got too much to do in RL, but I canft resist the Broads and the PPfs! GREAT to see Broadsf reactions to their CD release parties, to Leno, to Nellefs and Louisefs experiences for all us Broads, etc.
Nelle, MnMsMom wasnft able to come to the CD release party, so you didnft miss her. I had offered to carpool with her and she had to work quite late so was unable to come. I really wanted to meet her, but I know there will be another opportunity.
Lurker from Atherton: Yes, you do know who you are, please do post, and when you do, please e-mail me, since we met last night. I know you might want to use a moniker other than your RL one which I met last night, so please e-mail me, so Ifll know itfs you. It was fun meeting you last night, and standing on line together while waiting to pay for our CDs!
Carol (FL), The Palm Beach Post makes up quite well for the Miami Herald fink-out! Thatfs my momfs and brotherfs newspaper (and in a way, my, also, even thof I live in CA)! Thanks for the link, which I will check out for sure.
Lila, I understand how you could be basking in the nuances of Measure of a Man. I am too. I like ALL the songs very much, LOVE most, andc..MOAM is my dangest favorite! Very deep song, for me at least. I still get full of tears when I hear him sing it, and Ifve been listening to the CD constantly all day (when not sleeping, that is --- Ifm wiped out from sleeplessness and am trying to gcatch up.h) My biggest problem today, after lack-of-sleep? ----- trying to decide which is my gsecond favoriteh song on the CD. They are all so good.
Susan in SC: I remember when my Dad died --- many years ago and it still hurts. I hope the miracle happens, but if not, feel your feelings, get the comfort and support you need (you are already doing that, and your priorities are as they should be in my humble opinion). Try to ask for guidance from God on how to use this precious timecc.God bless you and keep you and your Dad and your family.
And yes, Clayton, so glad that youfve told us on your album, in your thanks to your fans, that you understand that itfs not gjusth your heavenly voice which we adore, but also that we care deeply about who you are. It means so much to us for you to tell us that you know how we feel about you. You are not just ganother useless celebrity.h Without being presumptuous, Ifd like to tell you that we have a good idea of who you are, even though you are full of surprises! Thank God you exist, Clayton, and stay the person you are, always, always, alwayscc
from CA Elizabeth more in love than ever
