Hello Broads and Brudes,
My name is Paula but you can call me Pejay if it is easier since I know there is another Paula here. I am in my 50s, single and proud to be writing here. I have finally decided to come out of the closet and admit I have been a lurker here and I am totally and comopletely addicted to Clay. As I write this I am blushing. It is the first time I am seeing this in print. HELP. Maybe the fact I still have one hour to go to get the CD is what is causing me to fiinally admit my feelings but right now I feel like I am going to scream. I must get to Target, K-Mart or Walmart NOW!!!! My addiction like all addictions started slowly and quietly. I had never seen AI1, and until I went to visit my daughter in Orlando would still not have watched the show but when I did I saw this amazing talent in front of me. After leaving Orlando I found myself watching or taping every performance. Tuesday's were great and Wednesdays, were nerve wracking. Each week sighing with relief that "cutie pie" was still in the competition. Had total hate for Slimon and during all that time was able to discuss the show without a care. Most of my friends also enjoyed the show. But then it all ended. My frieds stopped talking about Clay and I was upset because I still wanted to discuss him. It was then I went on the Internet and lurked at many websites but then found the MPs. I read every Bevr. and realized this is a place I would be comfortable. I can get down and dirty with the best of them and I am NOT offended by the F word or anything similar. So there I was living for each day I could read about Clay's live performances. I started downloading Invisible and knew at that time I was a goner. The sad part is I had no one to express these feelings to. I stopped seeing a shrink after my divorce so I had no one who would understand me. The knowledge of my addiction became definite when I realized I was deliberately taking an extra hour to get home from work so I could hear Z100 in my car. I could never get good reception in my home. I had to listen to soo much crap before Invisible would be played. I stayed home from a date to endure a small yellow sponge singing in cartoons just so I could finally see Studmuffin on screen. Not sure which was more frustrating the sponge or the birdlady last nite. Oh well. So there you have it, I feel better letting my feelings out. If there are any broads out there in the Long Island area of NY please let me know. I wanted so badly to go to a release party out here but there was none set up and NYC is too far.

Sandi I would have gladly supplied the bbgun for the 'bird woman shootdown' project
last night. Ol' Jay Leno better have OMC back on like next week to make up for that --
with a much larger time slot!!
Cella I immediately thought of you and your fanfic when he blew that kiss. That was my
favorite part of your daydream!! (must have been Clayton's, too!)
And those headlines!! Were those wedding names perfect for the visit of our mighty
Broad duo, or what??!!
Tony you are one fast Brude. I had barely begun lamenting my bad timing at missing the "Good Day Live" broadcast -- and -- whammo, bammo -- there is your link on the beautiful purple pages. Downloading now.... if I can only get it to work.....
What's to say about a night when you meet 4 other Broads in realtime, see the next tidal
wave of musical history blow the roof off the Tonight Show set, and make a 2 and a half hour drive home, doing it over and over and over in the front seat all the way! Yeah, I played the heebee jeebees out of my new CD. Loved it every time.
Raleighgurrl Thanks for coordinating our little get together. What a fine example of will-power you showed as you just could not pull yourself away from that HUGE display of OMC on that screen sized just for him. Hope everyone did get out the door on time this morning! AND I will testify in a court of law -- you DID get carded last night when you
ordered that glass of wine!!
DR in NC It is so fun to know that there is someone else that is crazy enough to drive for
a total of 5 hours just to spend 2 hours with a bunch of friends. And friends you had not ever met, to boot. Here's hoping that, by the time you read this, your long-awaited climax has occurred.
LadyLuke IU grads aside, I loved meeting you and your daughter. What fun to have a
daughter sitting as the 'observer' at a table wondering what has gone wrong with her Mom (that 'left turn' thing), and where did she get these weird friends? Did they lead her astray -- or vice versa?
ESL Liz So glad you got that poster. I can still see that smile on your face! Your voice
sounds just like I imagined it while reading your posts. SO funny that you drove past your exit!! You ended up passing me going the other way. Good thing I didn't know it at the time, or my laughter would have interrupted the music. ENJOY your visit to - or view of - the Effiel Tower.
Ah yes ---- THE shoes. I so wanted to win those shoes. But, alas, it was not to be. However, I ran the lady down who did win them, and told her we HAD to know --- just
what size were those shoes anyway? Looking somewhat befuddled, she showed me the tongue (hehe) and there before my very eyes was "USA 11". Well, I say, tennis shoes are
always sized smaller. ESL Liz says no way, they aren't really his shoes!!
And Louise A picture??? His arm around you???????!!!!!!
Well, in my Clay frenzy, I have managed to let this household run out of toilet paper. A situation of which MrJ4 has gently made me aware. Must go take care of that (and hopefully, finally, find Oct 20 People mag!!)

Still got THE cd on (do these things wear out? I'll just have to go buy more) and I have to ask: is he really not singing to anyone in particular on "The Way"?? That just kinda breaks my heart. Clayton, dear, I truly hope that you find her...and soon! You so deserve such pleasure and happiness.
Along that same line, somebody named daisybumble at the Clack House said she and her friend DonnaAC were talking about last night's Invisible and DonnaAC said that Clay must have "gotten laid for him to turn out such a physically charged performance"!! Now we know Clayton wouldn't do that, but you gotta admit that SOMETHING was different and he was smokin'! Anybody read Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich? All the girls in the office could tell just by the look on Stephanie's face the morning after she "knew" Ranger. Like I said, I hope he finds her!
Carol(Fl), Your experiment was a success!
Tony Thanks for Good Day Live. How many times a day does a woman tell you how amazing you are?
MnM Thank you for helping out those of us who are helplessly, technically challenged. You are a gift to us!
Susanne I am still laughing about when you asked Nelle "how it felt when Mr. Tasty Vanilla pressed his Sharpie against you." GAHHH!!! And Nelle I wanna know too!
I hope that someone is capturing all of this (news articles, the Broads' and Boards' eloquently written accounts of the parties and our searches for the CD--stuff like that)for Clayton in some sort of scrapbook. An artist has a debut album only once in life. I am so glad I was here to see it...feel it..and to HEAR it!!
Lurking back to RL (which today means all the PM sightings of HRH!). Thanks to all for sharing!

Basking in multi-afterglow. Worth the wait? Oh, it was everything I'd dreamed and more! He only lied about not singing about sex because he didn't want to cause any virgin anxiety. He knew he could just slyly seduce us with his Touch. After that touching experience I could only say "Dayum! Dayum! Dayum! And have I mentioned DAYUM!!!" Yeah, I may be a RL virgin, but it doesn't take a slut to see that this song is not about a puppy eyes & tickling session. If he was really too sleepy to know what he was recording (sing a line and then nap), I just want to know what he dreamed about between the lines...and if I was as good as I'm sure he was..... Thoughts on the Leno appearance: "What Broad put a spell on this show?! Could it BE any more Broadly?!" I'm referring to things like 'Headlines'--filled with womens undergarments 30% off and innerwear too, the oh-so-indecent clock, the "talking condom",the Big-Footed Boy ad and Jay's comment about how when he gets older he's gonna be the most popular guy in school, and the WEDDINGS!!!OMG! Even my mother got lecherous enough to say that BFB is when he was young and Wobig-Dickey wedding is him all grown up! This is the woman who was shocked , but laughed at my His Rumpled Humpiness idea. She called him "Hunkalicious! Or is it Humpalicious?" I would feel embarrassed for her, but hey, she did rush home with my very own MOAM during her lunch break. And I know why she took her copy with her. The not-a-BIRD Lady has a #1 bird call CD? No, Clay Aiken has the #1 BIRD calling CD! Have I mentioned that he was what Julie calls "two scoops of HOT DAMN"? Gettin' jiggy with it (actually I think he stole some of my old moves) on that pole--I mean mic stand, and doin' mini clutches, and committin' OF too!!! Sherry, you can enjoy your wink and blown kiss...because I'm pretty darn sure I can fool him into mistaking me for Miss Oklahoma and taking me--oh, can I just stop there and not finish this sentence?! I enjoyed some luscious Vanilla Bean icecream last night too. While taping the show on 2 VCRs. Lisa M., Right now the things I'd like to knit together don't include yarn. Dr.NC, you had me worried with that "Audra B." story till I looked down to see who was posting it. I'm glad you're not the Audra B. who once got her butt kicked by yours truly. Whew! CLAY AIKEN IS A CONSUMMATION, ER, CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONAL!!!

Tony Mwaaah! Thanks for the Good Day Link.
Susan in SC Oh, I am so sorry that your daddy has taken a bad turn. I wish you and your family ease in this difficult time. And I wish most for a miracle, but in case not, I pray your daddy Jack has a peaceful transition surrounded by love. He sounds like a man who would not fault you in the least for taking comfort where you find it when your heart is hurting. I am grateful that Clay's music is able to provide that for you. We love you here and hold you near.
Nelle I just had to come to say what a generous and impressive Broad you are. You could just have easily had Clay inscribe your jacket "to Nelle", but instead it reads to LBFCA. The true greatness of it is that I am absolutely certain that it means so much more to you the way it is inscribed. We love you gurrrl. BTW, how long will it take for your toes to uncurl from this experience?

Susan in SC - My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Your dad sounds like a very special man. Please keep us posted . . . the broads are here for you.
UPS just delivered Clay to my door. That's #2 CD. All I need are 4 more. If I buy enough maybe I can wallpaper my bedroom with Centerfold Pinup Clay. Yummy!
Nelle - Can't wait to read your BEVR.
Louise - Did you say you got a picture with Clay? Please, please let us see it. Don't tease us like that.
Cindy in WA - Had a good time with our BAH party last night. Did you like your wake-up gift?

I wish I had time to catch up on the Purple Pages but I have too much to do before this evening.
The Canadian contingent is getting ready to rock 'n roll in a few hours. The Halifax party will be the first one here in Canada....3 hours and 15 minutes to go. Woo hoo!
Made a bee line for the mall this morning and got that hot little number in my own two hands...tucked it away in my purse...nice and cozy with all my other personal stuff. Did I run straight away to the parking lot seeking instant gratification? No..I didn't....virgin or NOT, I needed to wait. I stayed at the mall. I bought two coats, one pair of running shoes, two sweaters, three shirts, and a gift bag at the Dollar Store. Most of which will have to be returned tomorrow when (if) I come to my senses. Finally, when I could stand it no longer I cocooned myself in my Malibu and proved another scientific theory. Yes, a Rapturous Broad can drive a distance of five miles with her eyes closed and having aural sex. She will safely arrive at her destination with all fenders intact, no pedestrian casualties and without getting arrested. I am sooo frickin' excited today! I scarfed down an apple for lunch and there are three large Tim Horton's cups rolling around on the floor of the car. Karen Eh? is flying on caffeine and joy joy joy.
Will be back in plenty of time for the dance party tonight. Let's get Mr. Hot 'n Handsome to #1 again tonight. Jill and I kept the bar open last night but we were the only stragglers. Tonight I expect we'll be rockin' down the house!
I must say I am very impressed by that elongated poster that was inserted in my case. Leave it to our Studmuffin....a little something extra for his Broads to drool over.
